January 5-7

Over and over again in the Scriptures, we see God commanding us to seek Him continually, with all our hearts, early in the morning and late in the night. What He commands is completely for His glory and for our greatest good. Graciously, He promises and reminds us that He will reward those who seek Him. He will give strength and peace to those who seek Him. His presence will produce joy in our hearts that satisfies the deepest longings of our souls. As we step into a new year in 2026, what a great time to make much of God in our hearts and express to Him how much we want His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth, in our lives, in our families, in our church, in our city, in our world just like it is in heaven. He is the great God Almighty who is greatly to be praised. What better way to praise Him than with a simple three day fast, asking God to have His way in our lives.

When we truly fear the Lord and stand in awe of who He is, what He has done, and what He is going to do, transformation happens within us and around us. As God fills us with His Spirit, the fruit of His Spirit flows out from us. A life filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. A life that is both satisfied and strategic. Satisfied in Christ and inspired to share Him with others.

So, whether you are fasting from food, screens, or something else, we want to go without so we can have more of God. And while fasting is mostly done in secret, there is also great benefit in knowing that you are joining in with others in this powerful endeavor. For this reason, we would love for you to register with the link and let us know that you are committing to seeking God in this way over these three days. We will send a daily email out to you with some encouragement and Scripture that will help you pray with purpose.

Una y otra vez en las Escrituras, vemos a Dios ordenándonos a buscarlo continuamente, con todo nuestro corazón, desde temprano en la mañana hasta tarde en la noche. Lo que Él manda es completamente para Su gloria y para nuestro mayor bien. Con gracia, nos promete y nos recuerda que recompensará a quienes lo buscan. Les dará fuerza y paz. Su presencia producirá gozo en nuestros corazones que satisface los anhelos más profundos de nuestra alma. Al comenzar el nuevo año 2026, ¡qué mejor momento para exaltar a Dios en nuestros corazones y expresarle cuánto anhelamos que Su reino venga y que Su voluntad se haga en la tierra, en nuestras vidas, en nuestras familias, en nuestra iglesia, en nuestra ciudad, en nuestro mundo, tal como se hace en el cielo! Él es el gran Dios Todopoderoso, digno de toda alabanza. ¿Qué mejor manera de alabarlo que con un sencillo ayuno de tres días, pidiéndole a Dios que obre en nuestras vidas? Cuando verdaderamente tememos al Señor y nos maravillamos de quién es, lo que ha hecho y lo que hará, la transformación ocurre dentro de nosotros y a nuestro alrededor. Cuando Dios nos llena de Su Espíritu, el fruto de Su Espíritu fluye de nosotros: una vida llena de amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, mansedumbre y dominio propio; una vida plena y con propósito, plena en Cristo e inspirada para compartirlo con los demás.

Así que, ya sea que ayunes de comida, pantallas o cualquier otra cosa, queremos privarnos de ciertas cosas para buscar más de Dios. Y si bien el ayuno se realiza principalmente en secreto, también es muy beneficioso saber que te unes a otros en este poderoso esfuerzo. Por esta razón, nos encantaría que te registraras en el enlace a continuación y nos hicieras saber que te comprometes a buscar a Dios de esta manera durante estos tres días. Join us for an All-Campus Worship Night at the WLR Campus on Wednesday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m. We want to gather collectively as a church body to sing and pray together as we seek His kingdom first in 2026. Childcare is available for children ages 6 and under.
