What are D-Groups

D-Groups (Discipleship Groups) are small groups that meet in homes and other locations across our community for the purpose of building relationships, growing spiritually and living on Christ’s mission together.

Who are D-Groups for?

We have D-Groups for couples, single adults of all ages, young adults, men, women and groups where different ages and generations meet together, share meals, serve our community and grow in our love for Jesus as we study the Bible.

FAQs

Looking for Additional Information?

Here are some of the most popular questions we receive from people about D-Groups at Fellowship.

If you have other questions feel free to reach out to us here: [email protected]

Is childcare provided?

Some groups do provide child care, but others do not. Click on “Find a Group” and as you browse, each D-Group/Bible Study option notes whether or not childcare is available. If you have questions, contact the leader by clicking “Details” and “Contact this Groups”.

What will we study?

Often group leaders choose a study based on the needs or interests of the group, but a lot of groups decide to use discussion questions from the past Sunday’s sermon to go through and discuss. Click on “Find a Group” above to go to our Group Finder where you can see the different types of groups we offer. The groups will often list what they are currently studying in the details, or you can contact each group’s leader to see what their group is currently going through together.

How long will we meet?

Typically each group meets for an hour and a half to two hours each week or every other week between September and May. A few groups meet year round.

What's the difference a D-Group and a Bible Study?

While our Bible Study groups also focus on the same values as our D-Groups (building relationships, growing spiritually, and living on mission together), women’s studies are structured to have a large group teaching component in addition to small group discussion and men’s studies typically meet for shorter 6-8 week studies in the fall and spring.
