Episode #37 – Brant Owens on Mentoring Kids in School

Welcome to the second season of Fellowship Talks! We are kicking things off with a conversation around the start of school. Brant Owens joins the podcast to talk about a mentoring program that he runs at Roberts Elementary called Kids Hope. Kids Hope is a relationship program, not a tutoring program. Volunteers spend an hour each week with a student who needs a good healthy relationship with an adult. Brant shares how God led him to go after the one by starting Kids Hope. He shares about his experience of mentoring at the school and his need for more volunteers.

Brant mentioned a song by Matthew West called “Do Something.”

Brant also mentioned D3 (Dads, Daughters, and Discipleship). If you are interested in connecting with this group of dads, please reach out to Clay Freeman at freeman_clay@yahoo.com.
